Imminent ..Turkish military chiefs discuss the battle

A meeting has been held a day later, when Turkey said it had run “out of patience “ hence it would launch an offensive unless agreement on a planned safe zone in Syria could be reached with Washington, the United States. Earlier this year President Tayyip Erdogan has first signalled an operation, which would have been marked as the third Turkish incursion into Syria in these many years, was later held back. President Donald Trump’s declaration of a planned U.S. withdrawal from northern Syria, has lead to the two NATO allies agreement to form a zone inside Syria with Turkey, along its northeastern border, that would be imminently cleared of the Kurdish YPG militia. Though, YPG was Washington’s main ally on the ground in Syria during the battle against Islamic State, but was viewed byTurkey as a terrorist organisation, identical to Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) militants waging an insurgency inside Turkey. According to Ankara the development on setting up safe zone was stalled by the United States and also demanded that Washington sever its relations with the YPG. The proposals presented this week by A U.S commission lead by Syria special Envoy James Jeffrey, failed to satisfy Turkish officials, as said by Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu. Akar told Turkish military officers on Thursday, that Ankara had set out its opinion to the U.S. delegation. Who further said “We emphasised to them once again that we have no tolerance for any delays, and that we will use our initiative if necessary,” the Defence Ministry quoted.
